This prestigious award recognizes Louise’s exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication during her 16 years as AAHSL’s executive director. Louise has been a steadfast leader, guiding AAHSL with expertise, creativity, and a deep commitment to its mission.

Her colleagues shared heartfelt reflections on her leadership and impact:

“During my stint on the AAHSL Board, I worked closely with our AAHSL coach, Louise Miller. She has such a keen eye for the right move at the right time—a real strategist. Like the best of coaches, she is supportive, encouraging, and wise, leaving a wonderfully powerful, lasting mark.” – Jerry Perry

“Louise was always so professional, taking care of every detail and offering creative solutions. She guided me during my presidency with confidence and a can-do attitude. After long board meetings, she’d gather us at the bar, where we’d talk and commune. She was a treasure for her thoughtfulness and expertise.” – Nadine Dexter

“Louise personally welcomed me when I picked up my first badge at an annual meeting and has continued to show up for our organization for the last 16 years. Her thoughtful counsel and effective leadership have made AAHSL financially stable and organizationally ready for the future.” – Stephanie Fulton

“AAHSL has been in good hands with Louise, who acted in our best interests and provided invaluable budget advice. She greeted everyone warmly, knew us by name, and made us feel special. We will miss her and wish her the best in retirement!” – Sandra Franklin

“I worked closely with Louise during my years as treasurer, president, board member, and chair of the Future Leadership Committee. Louise’s steady hand has made AAHSL’s programs impactful and helped us structure finances, refine processes, and steer clear of legal challenges. She is the one constant in our ever-changing organization, a go-to for questions, guidance, and solutions. It’s easy to forget she works with other organizations because she always makes us feel special!” – Paul Schoening

Louise’s leadership has been instrumental in AAHSL’s success, from her financial expertise to her personal touch, which has brought people together. We at SBI are immensely proud of Louise for this well-deserved recognition and grateful for the countless ways she has strengthened AAHSL and every organization she serves.

Congratulations, Louise, on this incredible honor! Your legacy of excellence continues to inspire us all. AAHSL is entering into a new era of leadership with SBI’s Kelsi Brisebois stepping into the role of Executive Director to continue Louise’s legacy of great leadership and strong commitment to the success of this association.
