Team Manager

Employees in this position supervise and oversee a client service team’s workflow, and provide guidance to staff on association best practices and company standards and procedures. In addition, this position provides executive-level client support and project management. This is a great role for a program or project manager who has a passion for coaching and motivating employees and a special talent for time management, understanding workloads and allocating resources where they are needed most. This position reports to an Association Executive.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Become a mastermind at utilizing our professional services automation platform to dispatch work to team members
  • Successfully multi-task and prioritize workload; delegate work effectively to team members
  • Supervise team members in scheduling, prioritizing, and managing workloads
  • Hold one-on-one meetings with team members and provide progress reports to AEs
  • Lead team meetings; prepare meeting agendas
  • In AE’s absence, serve as primary point of contact for clients and team members
  • Own the execution and implementation of assigned projects with a strong sense of accountability
  • Set up, manage, and maintain multiple client databases; make suggestions for improvements and offer timelines for implementation
  • Create, assign, and complete projects and service tickets in professional services automation platform
  • Monitor client scopes of work and partner with association executives to make modifications during the annual review process or as warranted by special project needs
  • Provide support to all team members in using MemberClicks association management software; manage the implementation of new client MemberClicks accounts and/or existing client upgrades
  • In conjunction with association executives, manage team labor budgets
  • Provide day-to-day customer service, administrative support, and project management as well as marketing and event coordination to a portfolio of associations
  • Participate in interviews and hiring decisions
  • Lead staff onboarding and orientation
  • Actively participate and provide input in staff reviews, professional development plans, and performance improvement plans
  • In conjunction with SBI leadership team, develop, implement, conduct, and monitor staff training for new and existing team members
  • Serve as project manager for selected SBI and client projects
  • Develop and implement staff recognition programs in collaboration with other Team Managers

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years relevant account services, program, or project management experience
  • Experience managing staff preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, nonprofit management or related field preferred
  • Innovative and resourceful; actively seeks opportunities to take a leadership role in improving services, processes, and procedures
  • Direct experience coordinating volunteer-led programs/events and/or staffing committees or Boards of Directors desirable
  • Experience working with multiple clients simultaneously is desirable
  • Ability to see the big picture and strategically align services and programs with overarching client goals
  • High energy, positive, professional attitude, take pride in work product
  • Ability to work with a wide range of personalities and styles
  • Proactive thinker with a positive, “whatever it takes” approach
  • Tech-savvy; strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office, CRM and/or AMS platforms, event registration systems, and online applications
  • Basic website management experience and/or knowledge of CMS platforms, email marketing programs, and HTML preferred
  • Exceptional client service skills and enjoys working with the public
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks efficiently
  • Superior attention to detail; first-class organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Washington State Driver’s License and good driving record

Annual salary DOE plus: health insurance paid at 80%, 401K employer contribution, 10 paid holidays, vacation and wellness time, professional development plan, and an annual educational stipend.
