Western Association of College and University Business Officers

Since 1937, the Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO) has offered business officers in the western region opportunities to develop professionally, to identify solutions for issues affecting higher education, and to share their expertise with their colleagues. Their membership includes institutions in 14 western United States, three Canadian Provinces, Mexico, and other Pacific Rim nations.

WACUBO is one of four regional associations (Central, Eastern, Southern, Western) making up the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO)*. Headquartered in Washington DC, NACUBO is well known for its informational resources and professional representations of the needs and interests of higher education.

WACUBO has made significant advances in providing a forum for professional development and networking for university business officers with very minimal staff support. Like many organizations seeking to sustain and develop to that next level of growth, WACUBO requires a management company who can fully support both the short and long-term initiatives of WACUBO and provide rational strategic direction to ensure that WACUBO’s resources are being used in the right place at the right time.

SBI provides the Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO) full management services that includes an Executive Director, office administration & finance, membership support, marketing & communications, and some committee staffing. SBI also provides event management and support for WACUBO Professional Development Workshops, Leadership Forums, Business Management Institute, and the WACUBO Annual Conference.
